Abbreviations used in barbecue

Newcomers to barbecue are usually overwhelmed just in trying to understand and decipher the language of barbecue.  Every hobby and sport has its own lingo, and none less than barbecue.

Here are some common abbreviations commonly used by the barbecue community. 

BGE Big Green Egg (a pit by BGE)
BYC  Backyard Chef (a pit by Klose)
ECB El Cheapo Brinkmann (refers to any bullet smoker costing around $30--made be several companies)
Faux Q meat cooked in the kitchen with Bbq sauce
KCBS Kansas City Barbeque Society
MIM Memphis in May (the name of both a huge barbecue contest and a contest circuit)
NBBD New Braunfels Black Diamond smoker
Q Barbecue
SnP Smoke N' Pit (by Brinkmann smoker
WSM Weber Smokey Mountain bullet smoker
