The California Barbecue Association (cbbqa) was formed in early 2002, so the events during from 1999 through 2001 were scbbqa events.  Effective January 1, 2002, the California Barbecue Association merged into the Southern California Barbecue Association which changed its name to the California Barbecue Association (cbbqa).
