Dan Howard's Favorite Barbecue Sauce Recipe

Apple Butter BBQ Sauce

This is the simplest version of it. You can definitely add a lot more to spice it up to your taste. (I know I do).

Ingredients

• 1 quart apple butter
• 1 cup apple juice 
• 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
• 1 tablespoon onion powder
• 1 tablespoon garlic powder
• 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
• 1 tablespoon dry mustard*
• salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

* mix to a paste with 1 tbs apple juice before adding

Mix all ingredients together in a sauce pan and simmer until well blended.

Adjust sweet/tart taste.
