MANHATTAN BEACH, California -- The top five Team of the Year winners and the total points earned by all Association teams are set forth in the two lists below. The list of final standings includes the points credited for all events held during the year from September 1, 2000 through August 31, 2001.

Points

This list includes only those teams which have earned at least one point. "No" means the number of events entered by the team thus far in the year. Under ToY rules, a team keeps only the points earned in its best five finishes in each category. "GC" means Grand Championship Points -- those earned by a team for placing from first through fifth for Grand Champion at a contest. "ToY" means the points earned toward the Team of the Year 2001.

* Asleep at the Grill (Vic Sessions) competed in 4 eligible contests but received ToY points for only for contests when the chief cook was an scbbqa member (effective June 8, 2001).

** Madd Momma & The Kidd (Judie and Amy Anderson) competed in more than 3 eligible contests but received ToY points for only for contests when the chief cook was an scbbqa member (effective June 8, 2001).

*** The only tie for a ToY award is in the Pork Category. The two teams, Out of This World (Gary Tackett) and Change Smoker (Ed Bell) agreed not to apply the tie-breaker but instead to share the award, in accordance with the rule change made effective for the 2002 Team of the Year Rules.
